- Keywords/Tags:
Here is a good news story - David Hill is a keen Mind Mapper and one of the organisers of the USA Memory Championships. Congrats to David and the Team for helping those whose mind and body are a bit fuzzy from MS.
"Con Edison team members scaled 66 flights of stairs to reach the top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza on Sunday, February 28 in the “Climb to the Top” multiple sclerosis fundraiser event. Monies raised help fund MS research, programs, and services; our company’s 2010 climbers raised more than $8,000, which this year was the second-highest pledge total among fundraising teams. The 2010 climb marked the second year of Con Edison participation.

Climb to the Top raises funds to help more than 10,000 New York City, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange, and Sullivan county residents affected by multiple sclerosis – a disease of the central nervous system that has no known cause or cure. At this year’s Climb to the Top, 777 participants took the stairs the Top of the Rock observation deck, raising more than $500,000.
Top Con Edison fundraisers were Manny Cancel, Auditing, who raised more than $2,000, and David Hill, Information Resources, and Anthony Barbera, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, who each raised more than $1,000.
The Con Edison team came in sixth in finishing time, with members Ron Dube, Public Affairs, Jeff Gingold, Information Resources, and David Hill’s son Russell Hill, taking individual medals for their respective age groups.
